Bend Studio has not been having the best luck in the world with sticking to a new game, but that might be coming to an end as rumor has it, the studio is planning on revealing their next game next year.
Speaking to people in the know, MP1st shared the news, as well as broad details, such as it will be a third-person game and feature co-op, but patently not a live service. I have a hunch they may be live serviced out thanks to the cancelation of their previous project.
The report also confirms that while it’s unclear if it’s going to be based on an existing IP or wholly original, it won’t be Days Gone 2.
In case you missed it, following the failure that was Concord, two live service projects were axed; one from the now-defunct Bluepoint Games and the other from Bend. To be fair, there was rumbling from an ex-Bend worker who saw the writing on the wall that their live service project wasn’t progressing fast enough.
