More upgrades for the Epic Games Launcher Preview including a collapsible

Epic Games controlling rolling out fixes and features to the new Epic Games Launcher Preview, and now you can actually collapse the friends list.

The friends list sure did take a lot of room in the UI, so it's nice that we have the option now. Hopefully in future they'll let us completely close it, or pop it out like Steam has which I much prefer.

They also do actually have the release notes available via the web now too. Here's the latest changes since GamingOnLinux last covered it:

Update

• The Social Panel can now be collapsed.

• A Switch account option is now available in the launcher.

• Dev and Stage sandbox builds will now be labeled in the Library, as in the Legacy Epic Games launcher.

Version 0.108.0 - Oct 30, 2026

Bug fix

• The open filter panel in the Library did not cover the header row.

• The Social Panel sometimes wasn't restored after being signed out of Epic Online Services.

• Clicking Install twice in quick succession could start a second install of the same game.

• The list in the Library sometimes became unresponsive while an arrow key was held down.

It is nice to see such rapid iteration, hopefully soon it will be fully-featured and ready to replace their old launcher, especially so since this has a Native Linux version.
