XD Games has announced a new collaboration between its turn-based RPG Etheria: Restart and Guilty Gear Strive, implementing select characters as Animuses during Season SS7.
The three crossover characters will join a new faction. The team will share more information about the event and SS7 later.
Meanwhile, the game’s latest update, SS6.4: Eidolon Scourge, is now available worldwide. Running from November 4 through December 2, 2026, the update serves as an extended conclusion to the SS6 Pyrite Nyx anniversary season.
The update introduces Thalos, vice-captain of the Elysian faction’s Third Manhunter Corps. He is a defense-focused support Animus who can absorb damage for teammates while applying damage-over-time effects, including Infernal Flame.
Thalos can also revive himself on a later turn after being defeated, recovering a percentage of his maximum HP. His abilities include resistance to control effects, making him suited to teams focused on surviving longer encounters. A limited-time Prowess Up event will reward players who fully develop his potential.
The Summit Arena PvP mode is also receiving a new affinity-restricted draft format. At the start of each match, players select from different affinity combinations and can only use characters that match the selected restrictions.
During the Summit Arena Special Season, players will earn increased points from victories. Those below Platinum rank will also no longer lose points when defeated.
Additional content includes an automatically matched arena event, a new banner event, and the Seneschal Chaku feature. This automated assistant lets players collect daily rewards and make purchases from in-game shops in fewer steps.
Etheria: Restart is available on PC and mobile devices via iOS and Android.
